Some of the subject areas are:
- History and evolution of rebreathers
- Practical mechanics of the system
- Emergency procedures
- Demonstrate the proper procedures for:
- Buoyancy control
- ADV use
- Bail-out
Air Diluent Deco Closed Circuit Rebreather Instructor Prerequisites:
- Minimum age 21
- Certified TDI Unit Specific Rebreather Diver
- Certified TDI Advanced Nitrox Instructor, or equivalent
- Certified TDI Decompression Procedures Instructor, or equivalent
- Provide proof of 250 verified logged dives, 100 being on nitrox
- Provide proof of minimum of 100 unit specific closed circuit rebreather logged dives; minimum of 100 hours duration over a minimum of one year
- Assist on at least one complete unit specific user course to the satisfaction of the instructor trainer
- If the rebreather is a TDI approved sidemount rebreather, the student must hold the TDI Sidemount Instructor certification or equivalent
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may teach the TDI Closed Circuit Rebreather Decompression Procedures course not to exceed the manufacturers designed depth maximum of 45 metres/150 feet with air diluent.
