Schedule of events: August 2016 at Blue Stone Dive Resort, Thomasville, NC
8:00a.m. | Welcome/Introductions/Paperwork – Fill out all required paperwork and return to Blue Dolphin representative for review. Discuss the day’s events and break participants up into 5 groups of 4. | ||||
9:00a.m. | Equipment Setup and Dive Prep – Participants to set up their equipment and get to know their teammates. | ||||
10:00a.m. | Start Dive #1- Each group starts at one skill station, maximum dive time of 1hour including briefing and debriefing. | ||||
11:00a.m. | Start Dive #2- Groups rotate according to schedule. | ||||
12:00p.m. | Start Dive #3- Groups rotate according to Schedule | ||||
1:00p.m. | Lunch/Gas fills | ||||
2:00p.m | Start Dive #4-Groups rotate according to schedule | ||||
3:00p.m. | Start Dive #5- Groups rotate according to schedule | ||||
4:00p.m. | Make up dive for any skills missed or for anyone wanting to repeat a dive (optional, time permitting) |
Event Details:
- Cost: $40, per participant for Rebreather Try Dive using one rebreather either Prism or Explorer (does not include site entrance fees, gas fills, personal dive equipment rental, etc.)
- Cost: $50, per participant for non Rebreather work stations (does not include site entrance fees, gas fills, personal dive equipment rental, etc.)
- Cost: $90, per participant for all work stations only 1 rebreather either Prism or Explorer your choice (does not include site entrance fees, gas fills, personal dive equipment rental, etc.)
- Sidemount demos
- Proper lift bag deployments
- Running a reel / splicing a line
- Advanced swimming techniques
- The TDI staff will conduct a briefing / debriefing for each 30 minute in water workshop
- Student to instructor ratio is 4:1
What to Bring:
- Copies of an open water scuba diver certification or above
- Entrance fees and your own personal dive equipment
- Mask, fins, BCD, regulators / gauges / computer, cylinder, weights, and appropriate exposure protection for a minimum of 120 minutes in the water
- Any personal comfort items
